Born in Congo Town Freetown Sierra Leone, Alex-Lansana Claye has done several trainings and courses on sports reporting thanks to the Sports Writers Association of Sierra Leone-SWASAL, ANOCA, the National Olympic Committee-NOC-SL and Mercury International (SL) limited.

He started broadcasting atthe Believers Broadcasting Network-BBN Radio from 2004-2006, Kalleone Radio 2006-2012 when he gained employment as reporter and presenter at RadioMercury FM 92.0.

‘Super,’ as he is fondly referred to by colleagues, is one of the presenters of “Mercury Breakfast Sports” which is one of the radio’s flagship programs.

Giving his very vastexperience, skills and exemplary performance in sports journalism this chapis boastfulof receiving the highest Awards in sports reportinginside and outside Sierra Leone.

Alex-Lansana Claye has unarguably traveled many times around Europe and Africa to cover especially international football competitions as well as undergoingtrainings in sports reporting.

Super’s hobbies include reading sports magazines, covering and watching national and international sports events.
